Similar to a newly purchased house or car, the new dishwasher may emit an odor in the early days of use.
This is caused by the rubbers, internal coils, and noise damping materials that comprise the product when they get heated. This is a temporary phenomenon and will disappear as time passes.
Though it differs with how often you use the machine, the odor will usually be reduced at least by a half after two weeks’ use, and up to by 95% after two to three months’ use.
To minimize this odor, when installing the damping materials, the tub and parts are heated at 190 ℃ or more, however complete deodorization takes a long time.
The burnt odor emitted while drying may be caused by the rubber gasket in front of the lid, the coil inside the tub, and the plastics around it, as they are heated by the high temperatures of 100 ℃ or more inside the tub.
Try this
Open windows to ensure air ventilation whenever possible in the early days of running your machine.
If the odor is severe, placing a dish with three spoonfuls of vinegar and running the normal cycle will help deodorization.
Smelling during the early days of use is not a product defect. Don’t worry and continue to run your machine.
