[LG Air Conditioner Sound] I operate heating, then noises from the air conditioners are louder

Troubleshooting

If the filter is clogged by dusts, as the wind passes through the narrow gap, loud noises can be generated.

Causes and Symptoms

  • Filter is not cleaned.
  • The noise is generated as the coolant(gas) flow is changed.
  • Fans speed is set to high.

Try this

Has it been a while since you cleaned the filter?

➔ Clean the filter.

If the filter is clogged by dusts, as the wind passes through the narrow gap, loud noises can be generated.
Use the filter after periodically cleaning it.

Switch to fan mode operation and compare it with the noise level after the outdoor unit stops.

➔ After switching to fan mode, if there is no noise, then the noise is due to changes in the coolant flows during heating operation, so it is normal, and rest assured when you use it.

Is the fan speed set to strong?

➔ Set the fan speed to low.

If you set the fan speed to low, heating will be reduced but the wind sound will be also reduced.
