Delivery Services

 

 

Service Description

 

The Delivery Service (“Service”) applies to UK variant LG products (“Qualifying Product”) purchased from www.lg.com/uk that will be delivered by our Service Provider AIT Home Delivery. The Service applies to mainland United Kingdom. The Service will take place at the customer’s location as identified on the www.lg.com/uk invoice. By purchasing a Qualifying Product and the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Service Provider: AIT Home Delivery, Lodge Way, Lodge Farm Industrial Estate, Northampton, NN5 7US. Company No. 07068367

 

 

Full Terms and Conditions

 

1. The Delivery Service is available to residents of mainland United Kingdom only. 

 

2. An individual aged 18 or over must be present for the Delivery Service. 

 

3. Purchase is necessary on www.lg.com/uk. Internet access and a valid email address is required.

 

 

Delivery Service Information

 

4. The Service can be provided Monday to Saturday, from 7:00am to 8:00pm. The Service Provider will confirm both the delivery date and expected arrival time window with the customer directly. 

 

5. The nominated delivery date is not guaranteed. The Service Provider will provide confirmation of the delivery date and delivery window. 

 

6. The Qualifying Product can be delivered to a room of choice. If an elevator is not available, then the room of choice can be no higher than the 3rd floor. 

 

7. The Service does not include any other services unless they have been specifically selected and proceeded to checkout with them. Additional services cannot be added once the order is placed. 

 

8. The Service should only require one on-site visit to the customer. If there is a need for an additional on-site visit, the Service Provider will make the appropriate arrangements with the customer. If an additional on-site visit is required due to a reason the customer is responsible for, additional fees may be charged to the customer to reschedule the Delivery Service. 

 

9. The Service will be attempted a maximum of two times. If the Service cannot be completed on the second attempt, the Service will be cancelled and the Service will not be refunded. 

 

10. If the delivery date selected is a Saturday, an additional delivery fee will be applied to the order. The weekend delivery fee is currently £10.00 per item and will be applied in addition to any other delivery fees that form part of the order. 

 

11. Some products may have the option to select Express delivery. The Express delivery fee is currently £10.00 per item and will be applied in addition to any other delivery fees that form part of the order, including weekend delivery. Express delivery schedule provided below.

Rescheduling and Cancellations

 

12. The customer must cancel or reschedule any scheduled Service by 4:00pm the day prior to the Service appointment date. Failure to comply with the stated timeframe may result in additional fees being charged to the customer. 

 

13. If the Service is unsuccessful due to a reason the customer is responsible for, the Service will need to be rescheduled and completed within five working days. The Service will not be rescheduled outside of this timeframe and a refund will not be provided. 

 

14. If the Service cannot take place due to a reason the Service Promoter or Service Provider is responsible for, the Service will be rescheduled by the Service Provider. 

 

15. If the Service cannot take place due to external factors such as adverse weather conditions and blocked or closed roads, the Service will be rescheduled by the Service Provider. 

 

 

Service Refunds

 

16. A refund will not be provided for any Service that is no longer required by the customer. It is the responsibility of the customer to select the required Service(s) prior to the purchase of the product. 

 

17. If the customer decides to cancel the order but the Service Provider has already attempted to provide the Service and was unsuccessful due to a reason the customer is responsible for, the Service will not be refunded. 

 

18. If the customer decides to cancel the order and the Service has already been provided, the Service will not be refunded. 

 

 

Customer Preparation for the Service 

 

19. The customer must ensure that the Service Provider can gain access to the property at the scheduled appointment date and time.  

 

20. The Service Provider will need to be able to park the vehicle close to the property to provide the Service. If there is no available parking, the Service will not take place. The Service Promoter and Service Provider are not responsible for paying any fees associated with parking. 

 

21. It is the customer’s responsibility to check the dimensions of the Qualifying Product and measure the relevant areas to ensure that it can be delivered successfully. Some refrigerators may require a door removal service, which is available at no additional cost through the Service Provider (subject to availability). The Service Provider must be informed of this additional requirement by 4:00pm the day prior to the scheduled delivery date. 

 

 

General Terms and Conditions

 

22. It is the responsibility of the customer to supply the correct information (outlined above) in order to benefit from this Service. 

 

23. Services cannot be booked for previously placed orders. The Service must be booked together with the Qualifying Product on www.lg.com/uk

 

24. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel the Service at any time. 

 

25. The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies are not liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this Service or accepting or using the/a Service(s), except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. Nothing will exclude Promoters liability for death or personal injury as a result of its negligence. 

 

26. The Promoter will not be liable for any delay or failure to comply with its obligations for reasons beyond its reasonable control arising from but not limited to Acts of God, global or regional epidemic or pandemic, adverse weather conditions, fire, industrial dispute, war, terrorist activity, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, plague or other natural calamities, or any other circumstances of the Promoter. 

 

27. All personal data supplied for this Service will be used solely for the purpose of this Service by the Promoter and/or by any agent appointed by it to assist with providing the Service and will not be disclosed to an unconnected third party unless your positive consent has been obtained. Your personal data will be handled in accordance with the Promoter’s privacy policy, available at: https://www.lg.com/uk/privacy

 

28. If any part/s of these Terms and Conditions are legally ruled to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, the remainder will not be affected and will continue in full force and effect. 

 

29. By using this Service, you will be deemed to have agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. 

 

30. If there is a discrepancy between these Terms and Conditions and those in any other material, these Terms and Conditions will prevail. 

 

31. These Terms and Conditions are governed by English law and their interpretation and application will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
