Setting Up Your Device

Follow the onscreen instructions to quickly set up your phone and email accounts.

To set up your device, follow the steps below:

  1. Select your language and tap Next.

  2. Tap Activate to activate your device. Then follow the spoken instructions until you hear that activation is complete.

  3. On the Welcome screen, tap Next to set up your device.

  4. If you are already subscribed, tap Next to continue to set up the email accounts.

    If not, put a checkmark in the checkbox and tap Next to sign in Backup Assistant Plus or uncheck the checkbox to skip it.

  5. Set up your email accounts or tap Skip.

  6. Read the Privacy caution and tap tap the I agree to share my location checkbox if you want to activate the location function. Then tap Next.

  7. On the Help screen, you can select to view how-to tutorials, My Verizon video, or additional guides. Tap Next to continue to the next step.

  8. Select Sign in to sign into your Google Account or Get an account to create one.

    Tap Not now to skip to the next step. With a Google Account, Google applications are automatically synced between your phone and computer regardless of where you make an update.

  9. Read the Google location information and select if you want to allow the specified services. Then tap Next.

  10. Tap Done with setup to start using the phone.
