Use the Storage settings to monitor the used and available space in your phone and on your microSD card. You can also manage your microSD card and, if necessary, reset the phone to erase all of your personal information. Tap Storage to access the following settings:
TOTAL MEMORY
Total space: Lists the total amount of space on the device.
SYSTEM MEMORY
Available space: Lists the amount of space you have available on the system memory.
INTERNAL MEMORY
Total space: Displays the total amount of space in the phone’s memory.
It’s listed in Gigabytes and also on a colored bar graph with a color-coordinated list of the applications as well as the amount of space they use. Remaining memory space is grey-colored.
Available space: Lists the amount of user data space available in internal storage space of your phone.
Erase internal memory: Erase all data on the phone's internal memory, such as music and photos.
SD CARD
Total space: Displays the total amount of memory space on the microSD card. It’s listed on a colored bar graph and in Gigabytes.
Available space: Lists the amount of user data space available in the microSD card.
Mount/Unmount SD card: Mounts/Unmounts the microSD card from your phone so that you can use the card, format it, or safely remove it. This setting is dimmed if there’s no microSD card installed, or if you’ve mounted the microSD card on your computer.
Erase SD card: Permanently erases everything on the microSD card and prepares it for use with your phone. You must unmount the microSD card before you can erase and format it.
