TETHERING
Tethering allows you to connect other devices to your phone's Internet connection and select your connection method.
Mobile Broadband Connect: Tap the Mobile Broadband Connect switch to toggle it On or Off. On allows you to share your phone's mobile data connection using a USB connection. This setting is gray if not connected via USB.
Mobile Hotspot: Tap the Mobile Hotspot switch to toggle it On or Off. On allows you to use your phone as a Mobile Hotspot for other devices to use your mobile network connection. Tap Mobile Hotspot to manage access to your mobile hotspot.
Configure: Sets the name and password for your Mobile Hotspot.
Manage device: Allows you to add devices and control which devices can connect.
Connected devices are listed at the bottom of the screen.
Tap the Menu icon (at the upper-right corner of the screen), then tap Advanced to access additional settings including Power Management. Tap Help to display Mobile Hotspot help information.
Bluetooth tethering: Tap the Bluetooth tethering switch to toggle it On or Off. On shares the phone's Internet connection with other Bluetooth devices.
Help: Displays information regarding mobile broadband connection, mobile hotspot, and Bluetooth tethering.
NETWORK
Mobile networks: Sets up options for data roaming, networks, and APNs (Access Point Names).
Mobile data: Checkmark to enable data access over the mobile network.
Global data roaming access: Sets up your data services while roaming.
Deny data roaming access: Factory default option shall be set to “Deny data roaming access”. The “global data roaming access” shall be disabled when the option is set to “Deny data roaming access”. The device shall BLOCK the data usage by ALL the applications when the device is roaming in ALL modes.
Allow access only for this trip: If the user selects the option “Allow access only for this trip”, the device shall ALLOW the data usage by ALL the applications when the device registers with a roaming (in ALL modes) network until it registers back to the Home network.
Allow access for all trips: If the user selects the option “Allow access for all trips”, the device shall ALLOW the data usage by ALL the applications when the device is roaming in ALL modes.
Network type and strength: Displays the current network type and the signal strength.
Access point names: Sets up APN for data service. Tap an APN in the list, tap the APN name, edit it as necessary, tap the Menu icon (at the upper-right corner of the screen), then tap Delete APN, Save, or Discard.
Roaming state: Displays your current roaming state.
Default message app: Sets your default messaging app. Choose from Messaging, Hangouts, and Message+.
Mobile plan: Accesses verizonwireless.com for you to access your mobile plan information.
VPN: Sets up and manages Virtual Private Networks (VPNs).
Basic VPN: Sets your phone to use the built-in Android VPN client supporting basic features.
LG VPN: Sets your phone to use an advanced LG VPN client supporting full IP Security features and interoperability. You can add an LG VPN network or select from your list of VPN connections.
Tap the Menu icon (at the upper-right corner of the screen) to access additional settings. From the Basic VPN setting, it accesses Always on VPN and from the LG VPN screen it access Import certificates, Settings, and About.
