DATA/MEDIA SHARE
NFC: Tap the NFC switch to toggle it On or Off. On allows you to send or receive files simply by bringing your phone and another datacompatible device together (typically within 20 mm of each other) at the NFC touchpoint. NFC (Near Field Communication) establishes radio communication between smartphones and similar devices. NFC will be turned off automatically when airplane mode activated. Tap NFC to access the following settings:
Show NFC Security alerts: Checkmark to display a permission alert when another device tries to send you information via NFC.
Read/Peer to Peer: Checkmark to display a confirmation alert when receiving a contact or URL via NFC.
Connection handover: Checkmark to display a confirmation alert when pairing devices via NFC.
NFC sound in call: Checkmark to play the NFC alert sound even while you're on a call.
Tap & pay: When NFC is turned on, you can use the Tap & pay feature to pay for items just by touching your phone to a reader at a register. If your phone doesn’t have a default app, you can browse Google Play Store for other payment apps.
Android Beam: Tap the Android Beam switch to toggle it On or Off. On allows you to beam app content or files to other mobile devices by holding them close together. Tap Android Beam to view information on how to use this feature.
SmartShare Beam: Allows you to receive multimedia content via SmartShare Beam from another LG phone or tablet.
VS985 4G LTE: Allows you to change your phone name for easy identification when connecting with other devices.
Storage: Opens a dialog box to set your storage. Choose Internal storage or SD card.
Auto-accept requests: Checkmark to automatically accept SmartShare Beam requests.
Timeout: Opens a dialog box to set the amount of time before the SmartShare Beam feature automatically turns off when not in use. Choose from 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, and Never.
File transfer history: Displays your file transfer history.
Help: Displays help information for the SmartShare Beam feature.
Media server: Tap to share media content with nearby device via DLNA.
Tap the Menu icon (at the upper-right corner of the the Media server screen) to access Use DLNA feature.
Content sharing: Checkmark to allow nearby devices to access content on your phone.
YOUR PHONE
VS985 4G LTE: Tap VS985 4G LTE to edit your phone name for Bluetooth, Wi-Fi Direct, etc., then tap Save. Tap the Image icon to set your phone image.
Content to share: Sets the types of content your phone is allowed to share. Checkmark Photos, Videos, or/and Music.
Receive content: Checkmark to allow nearby devices to send content to your phone.
NEARBY DEVICES
Sharing request: Sets when to accept sharing requests from nearby devices. Choose Always allow or Always ask.
Allowed devices: Displays nearby devices that can access your phone.
Not-allowed devices: Displays nearby devices that can't access your phone.
SCREEN SHARE
Miracast: Tap the Miracast switch to toggle it On or Off. On allows you to wirelessly mirror your phone screen and sound onto a Miracast dongle or TV. Tap Miracast to access your list of available devices. Tap Search for devices or Help (at the bottom of the screen) to refresh the device list or view help information.
