When you set a secure screen lock for the first time, you'll be prompted to add a fingerprint. Even if you switch between secure and non-secure screen lock, your stored fingerprint remains in your phone's memory unless you delete it in the Fingerprints & security setting. Switching to a non-secure screen lock turns off the Fingerprints & security settings.
