Introducing the
LG Solar NeON® R ACe

Last month at SPI, LG Solar introduced our new NeON® R ACe solar panel. We’re excited to offer an option that provides our high-efficiency, high-power-output panels with built-in microinverters for speedier, easier installation and improved monitoring capability.

What is ACe?

The NeON® R ACe is an AC solar panel with a small, built-in microinverter on the back, replacing the junction box. The microinverter produces AC power with no external DC wiring or connectors. DC power is converted to AC on the roof, directly below each solar panel, and the power is then fed directly into your home.

Faster Installation

With no separate microinverters or trunk cabling to install and very few additional parts, the NeON® R ACe modules are quick and easy to install. This helps your LG PRO installer complete your project in the timeframe you hope for.

Individual Solar Panel Monitoring

Because microinverters are located on each NeON® R ACe solar panel, the performance of individual panels can be monitored with LG’s EnerVu software. This can help you and your installer identify external shading and handle system troubleshooting. With EnerVu, you can track your system’s production on your cell phone or computer, and your LG PRO installer can monitor the performance of your system.

High Efficiency and Solid Performance on Hot Days

Each NeON® R ACe solar panel is highly efficient and powerful, providing you with more power in the same amount of space than less efficient solar products. The NeON® R ACe has a labeled DC power output of 375W – the highest of any 60-cell LG Solar panel. It has a 21.7% efficiency rating and a low temperature coefficient of -0.3%/°C. This means the NeON® R ACe performs well throughout the year, including in hot weather conditions that can lead to a loss of solar performance.

Modern Aesthetics

The NeON® R ACe features LG Solar’s highly efficient Back Contact Technology, which uses no electrodes on the front side of the panel. This decreases the amount of shading on the cells, improving the opportunity for sunlight absorption. Back Contact Technology provides a sleek, modern appearance to complement any roof type.

25-year Warranty

With the NeON® R ACe, the microinverter is provided by LG and included in the outstanding 25-year limited warranty. Our warranty covers:

Product – The materials and workmanship that goes into every module are covered for 25 years.

Performance – All solar modules degrade over time, but your ACe modules are guaranteed to produce 98% of their labeled power output in the first year and to degrade at only 0.3% per year between years 2 and 24. At the 25th year, they will still be producing an astonishing 90.8% of their labeled power output.

Labor – Many solar companies don’t cover the cost of any labor required to repair or replace a module, even if the module is under warranty. LG will pay up to $450 of any labor costs in the rare case of a needed module or inverter repair or replacement.
