A water line connection is required between the refrigerator and the home's water supply in order to use the ice maker and water dispenser.

You need to connect the water line to operate the automatic ice maker and water dispenser.
So let's go over how to connect the water line to your refrigerator.
First, you need to connect a standard water line tube to your water supply.
You will most likely need to install a connector or an adapter to your water supply. The water line installation is not covered by the refrigerator warranty. Check out our video on how to change the water filter if you need further assistance.
The water supply setup may vary depending on your home, so if you need to modify the water supply, we strongly recommend you contact a qualified plumber.
After installing the water line to the water supply, turn the water on. Flush out the tubing until the water is clear. Turn the water supply back off.
Now let's move on to connecting the refrigerator. Before connecting the water line, be sure to unplug the power to the refrigerator.
First, make sure you are using a standard water line tube. You may have a different size or type of water line. In this case, you will need to use an adapter or connector.
Next, remove the flexible plastic cap from the water valve. Place the compression nut and ferrule that came with the refrigerator on the water line.
Insert the end of the water line into the refrigerator connection as far as possible. Tighten the compression nut until it feels secure.
Turn the water supply on. Check for leakage and tighten any loose connection appearing to leak.
And now you are all set up to enjoy refreshing water and ice.

Try This
- Use designated tubing to prevent leaking.
- Install copper tubing only in areas where temperature remains above the freezing point of water (32 ºF or 0 ºC).
- After installation, check for leaks.
- It may take up to 24 hours for your ice maker to begin producing ice.
- If operating the refrigerator before installing the water connection, turn icemaker to the OFF (O) position to prevent operating it without water.
- All installations must be in accordance with local plumbing code requirements.
- Consult Use and Care Guide Section from your owner's manual for further information.

First, connect the standard ¼’’ water line tube to your water supply.
Note- The ice maker needs to be connected to a cold water line with water pressure between 20-120 psi. If any problem occurs, call your utility company.

After connecting the water line to the water supply, place the disconnected end into a large container and turn on the water supply.

Flush the tubing until clear. Once completed, turn the water supply back off and dispose of the water.

Unplug the refrigerator.

Locate the water line connection on the rear of the refrigerator.
NoteLocation may vary depending on the model.

Connect the water line to the rear of the unit.
NoteThe water line may be a different size. If so, you will need an adapter or connector for proper installation.

Turn water supply valve ON. Check for leaks.
NoteTighten all the connections (including connections at the valve) or nuts that leak.

Plug in the refrigerator.
NoteDispense at least 2 gallons of water from the refrigerator’s dispenser to flush the water line.
