LG Air Conditioner - How To Connect An LG Air Conditioner To Wi-Fi

If your air conditioner is Wi-Fi enabled, LG ThinQ technology will let you conveniently control it from virtually anywhere. You can start and stop cooling, change the mode, or set the a/c temperature while you are away, right from your smartphone.

  1. Confirm that your air conditioner is Wi-Fi enabled.

    Note

    Location of the Wi-Fi icon/button can vary from model to model.

  2. Download the LG ThinQ app. Follow the instructions to install and login/create an account.

    Note

  3. Power on the air conditioner, then press its Wi-Fi button for 3 seconds until the icon starts to blink.

    Note

    This varies from model to model, please check the owner's manual for the button location.

  4. In the ThinQ App:

    1. Select "Register" Add a device button highlighted in the ThinQ app image
    2. Select "Device" Select device button highlighted in the ThinQ app image
    3. Select "Next" Next button highlighted in the ThinQ app image
    4. Select “Air Conditioner” Air conditioner button highlighted in the ThinQ app image
    5. Select “Your Air Conditioner Type” Image of list of Air Condioner types in the ThinQ App
  5. Follow the instructions on your smartphone to register the unit and connect it to your home Wi-Fi.

  6. Once the product is registered the unit will appear on the app.
