Feature phone - Basic Phone Applications Troubleshooting

Software or App issues can happen after a software update, app update, changed setting, or more. Select the issue your having below to get detailed steps on fixing your issue.

NOTE: Some Settings, Menus, or Icons may differ from that of your device, this article should only be used as a general reference.

Errors

Some application errors can be effected by a recent software update or the time on your device not syncing correctly.
Please use the following steps to fix the issue.

  1. Reset Clock

    Tap the Left soft Key (Menu) Icon > Settings Icon > Phone Settings > Date & Time.

    • If available on your model tap to enable Auto Update and Auto-time zone.

    • If not, change the time to any time, save, return to the menu and change the time to your current time.

  2. Update Apps / Software

    If its a downloaded app, ensure its the latest version,
    if its a default app, check for a phone software update by:

    Press the Left Soft Key (Menu) Icon > Settings Icon > Software Update

Apps Crashing

Sometimes, after a software update, an app can have issues with the system causing it to crash or close Unexpectedly.
Please use the following steps to fix the issue.

  1. App Data

    • Restart the phone to have a fresh start.

    • Check your memory space, if its running low, that may be the your apps crash.

    • Move information off the phone to a PC or try deleting old messages, pictures, files to make space on the phone.

  2. Update Apps / Software

    If a downloaded app crashes, try to un-install and re-download it, ensure its the latest version, if its a default app, check for a phone software update by:

Device Resetting

Due to a recent update, your device may be suffering from random resets.
Use the following steps as a temporary solution until the issue has been resolved.

  1. Power Cycle

    Restart the phone to have a fresh start.

    • If you phone has a removable battery, take it out and let the phone sit for a minute.

    • Re insert the battery and power it back on.

    If a downloaded app crashes, try to un-install and re-download it, ensure its the latest version, if its a default app, check for a phone software update by:
