Front Load Washer - What are dE, dE1, and dE2 Error Codes?

• DE/DE1 Error Code Troubleshooting

  A dE1 error code indicates that the door is not closed properly. This can be caused if laundry is caught between the washing machine door and the rubber door gasket.

  To Resolve:

  1. Open and re-close the door.

     

  2. Reset the Washer

     • Power OFF the washer
     • Unplug the washer from the power outlet or flip the circuit breaker to turn the unit off.
     • With the power disabled, press and hold the START/PAUSE button for 5 seconds.
     • Plug the washer back in or flip the circuit breaker back on and try again.

  Note

• DE2 Error Code Troubleshooting

  A dE2 error code indicates that the drawer is closed, but not locked. This can be caused if there is too much laundry in the dryer, items are stuck between the door and the rubber door gasket, or the latch on the door is bent or broken.

  To Resolve:

  1. Check the door area to ensure there is nothing preventing It from closing securely.

     

  2. Open and re-close the door.

     

  3. Reset the Washer

     • Power OFF the washer
     • Unplug the washer from the power outlet or flip the circuit breaker to turn the unit off.
     • With the power disabled, press and hold the START/PAUSE button for 5 seconds.
     • Plug the washer back in or flip the circuit breaker back on and try again.
