[LG Beam Projector Screen] The screen appears blurry

  • Troubleshooting

Does the screen look blurrier than usual?

A projector is an imaging device that uses light to project images on a screen.
The picture quality may vary depending on the surrounding environment where the product is installed.
In the case of blurry images, please follow the instructions below.

Causes and Symptoms

  • Is the area around the screen brightly lit?
  • Are the keystone settings correct?
  • Is the distance between the projector and the screen appropriate?
  • Are there stains or dirt on the lens?

Try this

Is the area around the screen brightly lit?

➔ Please turn off the indoor lighting or use blinds to darken the area around the screen.

If the space where the projector is installed is bright, the screen image may appear hazy.
Please turn off the indoor lighting or lower blinds to darken the area around the screen.

Are the keystone settings correct?

➔ Excessive adjustment of the keystone may affect the picture quality.
Try adjusting the position of either the screen or the projector to achieve a perfectly rectangular screen display.

If the projector lens is not aligned parallel to the screen, it can cause a distortion known as keystoning. Keystoning refers to the deformation of a projected image, typically resulting in a trapezoidal shape.
The keystone feature enables you to adjust the top and bottom widths of the projected image, allowing you to align and reshape it into a perfect rectangle.
However, excessive adjustment of the keystone can lead to a deterioration in picture quality or an image distortion such as saw-toothed lines.
Therefore, it is recommended to find the best position for the projector, as parallel to the screen as possible, and then make keystone adjustments accordingly.

Is the distance between the projector and the screen shorter than the width of the screen?

➔ Please check the recommended projection distance for your specific product and adjust the positions of the projector and screen accordingly.

The distance between the projector and the screen is referred to as the projection distance.
The recommended projection distance may vary depending on the projector model and the aspect ratio of the screen.
Please note that, if the distance between the projector and the screen exceeds the recommended projection distance, the screen may not appear clear.
Please consult the user manual for the recommended projection distances by screen size and adjust the distance between the projector and the screen accordingly.

Are there stains or dirt on the lens?

➔ Wipe the lens with a soft cloth.

Use an air blower to remove stains and dust particles from the lens.
Then, gently wipe the lens using a soft cloth.
Avoid using water, detergent, benzene, alcohol, industrial polish, abrasives, or wax. These substances can damage the lens.

Precautions when removing foreign matter from the lens Image
Warning!

If you wipe the lens while the projector is operating or immediately after turning it off, the coating may come off.
Please make sure that you turn off the projector and allow the lens to cool down completely before cleaning it.
