Try This
1. Pull out the lower basket and remove the filter.
In some products you will need to turn the filter counterclockwise and gently pull up to remove.
2. Remove any collected debris and wash the filter in running water.
If the filter is neglected without being cleaned, it may generate an offensive odor.
Do not use excessive force when you wash the filter
3. Reinstall the filter in the reverse order of disassembling.
Improper installation prevents the filter from collecting debris, and lowers washing performance.

You can use vinegar to clean and deodorize the inside the dishwasher.
Pour 1oz of vinegar into a small bowl and place it in the lower basket, and then run the [Standard] cycle.
