To maintain performance and prevent odor, check the outside and inside of the appliance, including filters and spray arms regularly.
A burning-like smell, which is unique to any electric appliance, may be generated at the initial use of the dishwasher, but this smell will decrease when you use the dishwasher 10 - 20 times.
If you will be absent for an extended period of time, there may be an odor from inside of the appliance.
Check the filter
Check for food in the bottom of the unit or in the filter.
Clean the filter and the interior according to maintenance section of the owner's manual.
Clean the filters with a soft brush under running water.
Clean the interior
Food residue may be stuck in the narrow gaps inside the dishwasher after cycle is completed.
Wipe off all food residue.
Dishwasher cleaner & Deodorizer
Use dishwasher cleaner or deodorizer to remove any odor.
For additional information about installing or usage, refer to the owner's manual.
Do not obstruct the rotation of the spray arms.
Using the white vinegar or citric acid
Using citric acid;
Remove all dishes, cutlery baskets, and cutlery basket holders from appliance.
Measure 3 table spoons (1.5 oz) of citric acid powder.
When using the citric acid, fill main wash compartment with measured powder and run an Auto cycle.
Use white vinegar;
Pour approximately 7-10 oz of white vinegar into shallow bowl and place in upper rack.
Do not pour vinegar directly into the base.
Excessive use of vinegar may cause damage to the appliance.
Run Auto cycle.
Do not use detergent.
When the cycle is finished, restart.
