To reduce drying time and save energy, it is essential to clean the dryer filters after every use.
Using the dryer repeatedly without cleaning the filters will result in a lint-filled rubber gasket as illustrated in the image below.
Inner filter : Clean before/after every use.
Outer filter : Clean if a lot of lint has gathered or before/after every use.
(It is normal for the filter clean indicator to blink when powering on the dryer. Always check the filters before using the dryer.)
When removing the filters, some lint or small pieces of clothing may fall into the filter compartment.
If this occurs, use a long brush, wet wipe or the vacuum cleaner to remove the lint or items.
If you clean the filters with water, ensure they are completely dry before reinserting them.
Moisture may block the micro holes of the filter, leading to increased drying times and potential odors.
Allow the filters to air dry or use a dry cloth to remove any moisture.
Try this.
Cleaning the inner filter.
1. Take out all the laundry in the dryer before removing the filter.
2. Pull out the filter and open it up as shown in the image below.
3. Remove large pieces of lint from the filter.
4. Use a vacuum cleaner to clean the remaining lint. Alternatively, wash the filter under running water.
5. Dry the filter completely. When closing the filter, press its middle part and ensure it is securely closed.
Then, reinsert the filter into place.
Cleaning the outer filter
1. Remove dust and lint around the filter compartment.
Lint falling inside the filter compartment can decrease drying performance and increase drying time.
2. Remove the outer filter.
3. Hold the sides of the filter and pull them in the direction shown in the image below.
4. Remove lint from the filter using a vacuum cleaner or by washing the filter under running water.
5. Close the filter by pressing its left and right sides. Ensure the filter is securely closed.
6. After thoroughly drying the filters, assemble the inner and outer filters and insert them back into the compartment.
Do not remove or insert laundry into the dryer when the filters are missing from the compartment.
Items may fall into the filter compartment, and cause product failure.
