How to use the remote control feature on the LG ThinQ app
If you are using LG electronic products such as air conditioners, air purifiers, washers, and stylers that can be remote controlled, you can use the remote control feature on the ThinQ app.
If you use the remote control feature’ you can keep your home cool while you are out and set your washer to finish the laundry by the time you arrive home.
Things to check before using the remote control feature: check whether the wireless router is powered on and the ThinQ app is installed on your mobile device.
Let's take a look at the remote control feature.
Open the ThinQ app on your mobile device and select the product you want to remotely control on the home screen.
If the product is equipped with doors such as washers, dryers, and stylers or used to cook food, enable the remote control feature on the product in advance.
Power on the product, close the door, and press the remote control button on the panel for more than 3 seconds.
The remote control feature will be disabled once you power off the product or open the door.
Even if you don't enable the remote control feature, appliances such as air conditioners and air purifiers can be powered on or off on the ThinQ app or use them with diverse remote control.

1 Press the Power button to turn on the dryer.
2Load your laundry into the drum and close the door
3Press and hold down the Remote Start button for at least 3 seconds to enable Remote Start.
Control panel and button location may vary depending on dryer model.
4From the ThinQ app, select the desired cycle and begin the dryer cycle.
- In Remote Start mode, all buttons are disabled except the Power and the Remote Start button.
- If you want to manually operate the product and cancel Remote Start mode, you must either power off the dryer or open the dryer door.
