The dryer has power but is not responding when selecting cycles or pressing the START button. If the unit powers ON but is not heating or drying enough, or taking a long time to dry, please visit our Not Heating, Not Drying or Long Time Drying content for further troubleshooting steps.

  1. Check CHILD LOCK.

If the safety CHILD LOCK is ON, the display will not respond.

CHILD LOCK on most models can be disabled by pressing and holding the CHILD LOCK button for 3 seconds.

After disengaging the child lock, run a cycle and see if there are any additional issues.

    • Turn off the unit circuit breaker.

    • Unplug the dryer.

    • While the dryer is unplugged and the circuit breaker is OFF, PRESS and HOLD the POWER/START button for 5 seconds, then hold down the PLAY/PAUSE button for 5 seconds.
