On October 6, 2021, Microsoft officially launched Windows 11. An upgrade to Windows 11 is possible from Windows 10 version 2004 or newer systems.

How to upgrade
※ Unexpected errors can occur, so back up important user data in an external USB device.
1. In the browser address bar, enter [ https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows11].
2. Below [Windows 11 Installation Assistant], click [Before you begin using Installation Assistant] and check if the upgrade conditions apply to you.
Then, click the [Download Now] button.
3. When you see the downloaded file in the Microsoft Edge downloads pop-up, click the file to run it.
※ In order to upgrade to Windows 11, you need to check for compatibility.
5. When you see the list of downloaded files at the top or bottom of the screen, click the [WindowsPCHealthCheckSetup] file to run it.
6. On the [Windows PC Health Check Setup] window, check [Accept] and click the [Install] button.
7. When app installation is complete, click the [Finish] button.
8. On the [PC Health Check] app interface, click the [Check Now] button below ‘Introducing Windows 11’.
9. The app checks whether your PC meets the requirements for a Windows 11 upgrade.
If the message [This PC meets Windows 11 requirements] appears, it means that your PC can be upgraded to Windows 11.
After checking the result of the eligibility test, click the [X] button to close the message.
Go back to the [Windows 11 Installation Assistant] window.
10. After checking that your PC meets the upgrade requirements, click the [Refresh] button in the [Windows 11 Installation Assistant] window.
11. Read the Windows 11 license terms, then click the [Accept and Install] button.
※ Depending on the PC specifications and user environment, it might take 20 to 60 minutes.
13. Once Windows 11 download and installation is complete, click the [Restart Now] button to restart the PC.
※ During the upgrade process, your PC might restart several times and it will take some time to finish.
※ A roll back to the previous version (Windows 10) is only possible within 10 days following the completion of the upgrade.
