Causes and Symptoms

  • It could be a temporary boot error.
  • It could be an issue related to storage devices. (SSD, HDD)
  • An external device, such as a USB stick, connected to the USB port, may be causing the boot issue.

※ If booting still fails after removing external devices and doing a power reset, then it is a Windows error or a storage device issue.
In such cases, an inspection by an LG Electronics technician is required.

If there are external devices connected to the laptop, disconnect them all and try rebooting the laptop.

※ Due to issues with a connected external device (USB stick, SD memory card, etc), the display may freeze whilst showing the LG logo and booting may not proceed.

How to reset the power

1. Remove the power adapter.
Disconnect the adapter connected to the laptop.
2. Press the power button for 10 seconds or more and then release your finger.
