Causes and Symptoms
An error occurred during Windows update.
There is an issue with hardware parts (SSD, RAM, CPU, etc).
Program errors occurred.
The PC is infected with virus or malware.
Try this
Booting in Safe Mode
Press the Power button for more than 10 seconds to force restart.
If the problem persists, then boot in Safe Mode to try a system recovery.
※ If booting in Safe Mode fails, then an inspection by a professional technician is necessary.
On the [Recovery] screen, click [See advanced repair Options].
Below [Choose an option], click [Troubleshoot], then [Advanced Options], and then [Startup settings].
On the [Startup Settings] screen, click [Restart].
Then enter the number [4] on the [Startup Settings] screen.
When booted to Safe Mode, you’ll read [Safe Mode] on the corners of a black background.
Rebooting Windows after disabling startup programs
In the search box at the bottom left of the screen, type [msconfig] and select [System Configuration].
In [System Configuration], select the [Services] tab, check [Hide all Microsoft Services] and then click the [Disable All] button.
Click [Startup] → [Open Task Manager].
Every item in [Startup] needs to be individually disabled. Disable an item by right clicking on it and selecting [Disable].
Restart Windows and see if booting was successful.
If booting fails, then use the [rstrui] command to restore the system to a specific time point.
Using System Restore
In the taskbar search box, type and select [rstrui].
In the [System Restore] window, click [Next] and select one of the dates of successful booting. After that, click [Next].
Below [Confirm your restore point], click the [Finish] button and then [Yes] to proceed to the restore point.
After that, check if Windows boots successfully.
If booting fails, then try to [Recover Damaged Windows Files].
How restore damaged files in Windows using the Dism or Sfc command
On the [Recovery] screen, click [See advanced repair Options].
Below [Choose an option], click [Troubleshoot]. Below [Troubleshoot], select [Advanced Options].
Below [Advanced Options], click [Command Prompt].
In Command Prompt, type the following command and press the Enter key.
dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
※ Depending on the PC environment, it may take 5 minutes to 1 hour or more to complete the inspection.
Once the inspection is finished, type the following command and press the Enter key.
sfc /scannow
If the blue screen appears after Windows updates
Select [Advanced Options] → [Uninstall Updates] to delete the recent updates.
