Standing type of Kimchi refrigerators generate cold air and supply the cold air to each storage compartment based on their respective settings.
Each compartment setting can be configured differently so certain compartments are cooler or less cold than others.
Set the mode and temperature by pressing the buttons on the display (control panel).

How to set the mode by using the buttons on the display of a stand type kimchi refrigerator.
➔ Select the desired compartment and repeatedly press the compartment button until the desired setting lights up.
Then, repeatedly press the same compartment button until the setting you wish to choose lights up.
For instance, if you press the [Bottom] compartment button, it will toggle in the order of [Kimchi(M→ H→ L)]→[Produce(M→ H→ L)]→[Rice/ Grain]→[Storage]→[Fast Chill]→[Off].
Even if you do not press the [Lock] button, the mode you chose will be automatically operated after 60 seconds.

The temperature is increased in the order of [Kimchi], [Produce] and then [Rice/ Grain].
When using kimchi storage functions such as [Kimchi], you can reduce the storage temperature
by switching from [M] (Medium cooling) to [H] (High cooling) or [L] (Low cooling) to [M] (Medium cooling).

These special containers are designed to facilitate the even circulation of cold air.
If you use other containers to store kimchi, the kimchi might freeze due to bad circulation of cold air.
Functions of the modes on the display (control panel) of a stand type kimchi refrigerator
➔ To store ripened kimchi, use a storage function such as [Kimchi].
If the kimchi is to be consumed soon, set [Kimchi] to [H] and if the kimchi is to be consumed at a later stage, set [Kimchi] to [M].
For kimchi that is not as salty, such as water kimchi or radish kimchi, set the cooling to [L].
For kimchi of medium saltiness such as cabbage kimchi or mustard kimchi, set the cooling to [M].
For very salty kimchi, such as over fermented kimchi, set the cooling to [H].
➔To accelerate the ripening of freshly made kimchi, select [Fermentation].
Fermentation mode senses the external temperature and automatically applies the best fermentation settings so you can enjoy good kimchi throughout all seasons.
➔ If you want to turn off some compartments, select [Off].
Some models of kimchi refrigerators allow the user to choose which compartments to switch off.
For instance, if you press the [Bottom] compartment button, then it will toggle in the order of [Kimchi(M→ H→ L)]→[Produce(M→ H→ L)]→[Rice/ Grain]→[Storage]→[Fast Chill]→[Off].

➔ To maintain a consistent storage temperature for kimchi, select [Cooling Care].
Cold air will be circulated in a way that the temperature is not changed.
When you select [Kimchi] for a specific compartment, [Cooling Care] will be automatically turned on.
➔ To remove odors, select [Fresh Air Filter].
Press the button when it smells from the kimchi refrigerator and the air inside the refrigerator will be circulated for 3 hours to remove the smell quickly.
Also, please keep in mind that if there is grime or water on the control panel, the buttons might not operate or not operate as intended.
