Are the items inside the refrigerator not sealed?
➔ Put food items in air tight containers or plastic bags before storing them in the fridge.
Storing unsealed food inside the fridge may lead to lingering food odors.
Are there bits of food on the refrigerator shelves or drawers?
➔ Clean the interior of the fridge using a soft, damp cloth.
When cleaning the interior of the fridge, please use a soft, damp cloth.
If you decide to use a neutral detergent, it is a good idea to wipe once more using a clean cloth to ensure the detergent is completely wiped.
Do you notice a decrease in deodorization performance?
➔ If your fridge is equipped with an air filter (deodorizer), you can enhance its deodorization performance by refreshening it.
Remove the filter and dry it using a hairdryer or by leaving it in the sun. Once the air filter is odor-free, reinstall it.
Prolonged use of the deodorization feature may result in the deodorizer becoming saturated with odor particles, leading to a decrease in its performance.
Please note that the type and shape of deodorizers can vary depending on the refrigerator model.
For models with the deodorization button, deodorization immediately begins when the button is pressed. The LED remains lit until the process is complete.
1. Lift the upper shelf slightly and pull it forward to remove.
2. Press the hook on the filter to remove the filter.
3. Dry it using a hair dryer or by leaving it in the sun.
The smell in your refrigerator might be intensifying due to a high temperature setting.
➔ Set the refrigerator temperature to ‘H’ (high cooling) or ‘M’ (medium cooling).
Odor particles can spread more easily in warmer conditions, which can lead to a stronger smell.
This is similar to how the aroma of hot coffee is stronger than that of iced coffee.
Lower the temperature of your fridge before continuing to use.
Leave the refrigerator door open for air circulation. Additionally, leave the lid of kimchi containers open.
The lingering smell of kimchi in an old kimchi container can be mitigated by using a sugar solution.
Leave the sugar solution (2:1 ratio of sugar to water) in the kimchi container for 1 to 2 hours, then rinse with water.
