Check for biometric device errors in Device Manager
In the biometric data sensor, is the FPC Fingerprint Reader (Disum) device disabled?
- In [Start] of task manager, right click with the mouse button to run [Device Manager].
- Right click with the mouse on Device Manager > Biometric devices > FPC Fingerprint Reader (Disum) and click [Enable Device].
※ If you right click with the mouse button on the FPC Fingerprint Reader (Disum) and see that [Disable Device] is on, then it is normal.
If there is an exclamation mark in the FPC Fingerprint Reader (Disum) device, remove the driver and install it again.
- Right click with the mouse button on FPC Fingerprint Reader (Disum) and select [Uninstall Device] click [Uninstall].
- Restart Windows.
- You can install the device driver in the update program provided for your laptop.
After checking the update list in LG Update & Recovery and install it if necessary.
※ Depending on the release year of LG Update, LG Update Center, LG DnA Center Plus, check the corresponding model name and use it accordingly.
- In LG Update Center, check the required update list and install it accordingly.
