LG Laser TV Content Sharing - Smartphone or Tablet

Your LG Laser TV is equipped with innovative features that make it easy to share and display content between devices, like your PC, tablet, smartphone and more. There are multiple ways to connect and they all depend on your network connectivity and the type of device you wish to share.

LG Smart Share lets you connect your compatible smartphone, tablet, PC, camera, or USB device to your TV and showcases all of the device's audio, video, and photo content in simple menus on your screen. See how easy it is to connect.

There are a few ways you can connect your compatible smartphone or tablet to your Laser TV-wirelessly, using your home network using DLNA (if your compatible smartphone or tablet are DLNA certified) or without a wireless network connection, using Wi-Fi Screen Share via Wi-Fi Direct.

Share Content Using DLNA

Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) allows you to enjoy videos, music and photos saved on your DLNA-certified smartphone, tablet, PC or server using the Laser TV through your home wireless network.

Once your Laser TV and DLNA certified smartphone or tablet are both connected to your home wireless network, follow these steps:

1.

Enable Wi-Fi on the smartphone.

2.

Install/run the DLNA media player app to share content on your compatible smartphone.

3.

Run Share my mobile phone Content.

4.

Select the kind of content (video/music/photo) that you wish to play.

5.

Select the video, music, or photo file to play on Laser TV.

6.

Select Add to Playlist.

7.

On the device that you want to play the file, select the Laser TV model. (You can find the Laser TV model name on the product label.)

8.

Play the selected file on Laser TV.

The Wi-Fi Screen Share function on your LG Laser TV seamlessly allows you to share what's on your compatible smartphone, tablet, or PC screen using Wi-Fi Direct. The great part is that both methods connect to each other directly over their own wireless signal without the need to be connected to an existing wireless gateway.

1.

Press the HOME button  on the remote control and select Settings , then press WHEEL or ENTER.

2.

Select Network then Wi-Fi Screen Share, press WHEEL or ENTER.

3.

Set Wi-Fi Screen Share to On. (If you don't want to use this function, set to Off.)

4.

Enable Wi-Fi Direct on the device that you want to connect to.

5.

Select the device you want to connect to on the laser TV .

6.

Select Yes when the connection request message appears on your external device.

7.

If the device that you want to connect to accepts the request, Wi-Fi Screen Share will be connected.
