If your LG monitor is not function properly or errors occur with the brightness and or colors, resetting the unit will restore it to the factory settings.
Try This
A hard reset just refreshes the monitor, A factory reset will remove any configuration or pre set settings.
How to Perform a Factory Reset

1Press the joystick button.
2Move to the right to select [Settings].
3In [General], select [Reset to Initial Settings] and press [OK] to reset it.

2Move to the right to select [Settings].
3In [General], select [Reset] and press [Yes] to reset it.
How to Perform a Hard Reset
If unable to reset the unit through the Settings menu, you can perform a Hard Reset.
1 Disconnect all connected cables (HDMI, DisplayPort, etc.) and the power cord
2 With the items disconnected, press and hold the power button for 10 seconds
3 Reconnect cables and the power cord.
4 Press the joystick to power on the unit.
