Cooktop Noises
Clicking Sound:
This is normal, your new range is designed to maintain the heat setting. You may hear your cooktop heating elements click on and off frequently.
Beeping Sound:
This is normal when any cooktop burner is activated, a beeping sound indicates the cooktop is in use.
If beeping occurs and an error code is displayed in the control panel display, please visit our LG Range - Error Codes List article for further assistance.

Oven Noises
Humming Sound:
This is normal, the internal convection fan run at convection bake and roast mode a blade of the fan makes humming sound. The fan will cycle on and off periodically during oven operation.
Knocking or Popping Sound:
This is normal, knocking sounds occur when the bottom of the cavity expand and contract as the temperature changes during operation. Usually knocking occurs while the bake or broil cycle is operating for 10~15 minutes from it started and after the bake or broil cycle is finished.
Rattling Sound:
This can be sign of a problem with the fan motor or the fan housing. Service will be required for a proper diagnosis. Please visit our Request a Repair page for further assistance.
Clanking or Scrapping Sound:
This is a sign of a problem with the fan blade. If the blade of the fan is dented it can interfere with chamber. This will require service to resolve. Please visit our Request a Repair page for further assistance.
Other Noises:
If you oven noises are noticeable enough to interrupt conversations or TV viewing, service will be required for a proper diagnosis. Please visit our Request a Repair page for further assistance.

Cooktop Noises
Clicking Sound:
This is normal, when the control knob is turned to “LITE” position, ignition is started and spark occurs from electrode to burner cap. You can hear a little CLICKING noise, which is the sound of the electric spark igniting the burners. Although the burner is firing the knob when turned to the “LITE” position, ignition and noise will always happen.
Control Panel Clicking Sound:
This is normal, every mode is making clicking noise for safety operation of the oven & cooktop, which allows each operation to turn on and off.
Rattling Sound:
This can indicate a problem with the burner caps. Check that the burners and burner caps are properly installed. The sound heard when you close the door is the sound from the racks that are shaken by the impact of closing door.
Beeping Sound:
If a beep sound is heard three times and the gas range turns off during operation, it's because the overheating protection sensor detects high heat. This will require service. Please visit our Request a Repair page for further assistance.
Burner Troubleshooting:
1 Scrub pointed areas using a dry toothbrush to remove food remains and other substances and retry ignition.
2 Remove contaminants from the sparking plug and the heat sensing rod using a dry toothbrush.
3 Wash off contaminants from the burner cap and the burner head, and dry and reinstall them.
