LG Refrigerator - Troubleshooting Drawers Not Closing Properly

  • Troubleshooting

At a Glance

Fridge drawer, freezer drawer or crisper drawer is not closing properly

  • If a foreign object (food) is caught in between the drawers, it may be hard to open or close a drawer.
  • This can happen if drawers are not aligned well with the rails.
  • If the protective film is not removed after purchase, a noise may occur when opening or closing the drawer or it may be hard to open and close the drawer.
  • Sometimes, if the rails are damaged, it may be hard to open or close the drawer.

Try This

  • Remove the drawer and check if there is a sticky foreign object/substance (food) between the drawer rails and the drawer.
    If so, remove any contaminants.
  • If the rails are not assembled properly, reassemble them.
  • If the protective film has not been removed after purchasing the product, it may make noise when opening and closing the drawer, but rest assured as it is not a product defect.
  • If the rails are damaged and cannot be assembled properly, have them checked by an LG service technician.
