LG Refrigerator - Why Don't My Drawers Open and Close Properly?

  • Troubleshooting

Try this

This is applicable to the drawers in the refrigeration compartment, the freezing compartment, and the fresh vegetable compartment.

If a foreign object (food) is caught in between the drawers, it may be difficult to open or close a drawer.
This can happen if the drawers are not aligned correctly with the rails.
Sometimes, if the rails are damaged, a drawer may be stiff to open or close.
If the protective vinyl is not removed after installation, a noise may occur when opening or closing the vinyl wrapped drawer or it may be stiff to open and close the drawer.
Remove the drawer, and clean the area between the drawer rail and the drawer, and the inside of drawer.
If the rails are not assembled properly, reassemble them correctly.
If the protective vinyl has not been removed following installation of the product, the protective vinyl may make a sound when opening and closing the drawer, but rest assured as it is not a product defect.
If the drawer is broken or if you still cannot install it after checking for faults, call a service technician for an inspection.
Check if any sticky matter is on the display and, if so, wipe it off.
※ The shape may slightly vary.

This is applicable to the ice storage bucket, ice storage vessel, and ice basket.

If it contains too much ice, ice may get stuck to it and you may not be able to disassemble it.
There is a structure that prevents ice from spilling out.
Store only a reasonable amount of ice so that the storage vessel is not overfull and remove and discard old ice.
When removing the ice storage bucket, gently lift and remove it.
