LG Refrigerator – Why is My Fridge Showing the Incorrect Compartment Temperature

  • Troubleshooting

At a Glance

It is normal for the temperature display to read 5°F – 10°F cooler than the actual temperature inside of the refrigerator or freezer compartments. To help better maintain the desired temperature, ensure the doors are closed properly, the compartments are not overloaded, and the air vents are not being blocked.

Note

If your refrigerator is not cooling at all, please visit our LG Refrigerator - Not Cooling Properly article.

Try This

Do NOT Overload the Compartment

If too much food is stored or if the cooling air outlet is blocked by food, refrigerator may be weakened due to a failure in cooling air circulation.

Note

To ensure optimal air circulation, it is recommended to fill up to 60% of the refrigerator space with food.
