If the door alarm on your refrigerator keeps sounding, this can indicate items are blocking the door sealing properly, the door gasket needs to be cleaned or replaced, or the unit isn’t properly leveled.
Try This
-
Deactivate the Door Alarm
The door alarm can be disabled on many LG refrigerators by pressing and holding the button for 3 seconds.
Note- You will hear a beep when you first press the button. Press and hold it for three seconds until a second beep is heard.
- If the button is not available on your refrigerator's control panel, the door alarm cannot be deactivated.
-
Reorganize Food Items
If the refrigerator is overfilled with food items, the door of the refrigerator will not close properly.
If there are too many food items in the door bins, the refrigerator doors may sag due to the weight and not close properly. -
Check the Door Gaskets
1If the door gasket is stained with foreign objects, such as food, its stickiness may hinder adhesion and the door may not close properly.
Wipe the door gasket with a hot steamed towel and clean it using a toothbrush or sponge with detergent.2If a part of the door gasket falls out or droops, try reinserting and press it along the groove in the refrigerator door.

Ensure the Refrigerator and Doors are Level
1Uneven doors on the unit will leave gaps preventing them from closing properly.
Level the refrigerator using the leveling screws under the door of the refrigerator.2If the unit itself is not level, ensure the unit is installed on a flat service, and adjust the leveling feet at the bottom of the unit accordingly.
