At a glance
The refrigerator is one of the most used appliances in every kitchen. Cleaning your refrigerator regularly will help reduce odors.
Try this
1. Remove all food items
Ensure all food items are removed from the fridge or the section of the unit you intend to clean. This will prevent spill and breaks inside of the unit.
2. Remove detachable parts
Pull out all removable parts such as shelves and bins. Allow them to warm up to room temperature before you start to clean them. If they are directly exposed to warm or hot water in the fridge (especially when cold), they could crack or break from thermal shock.
Do not wash shelves or drawers in the dishwasher as they may become deformed or warped.
3. Clean with soft sponge and detergent
Use a soft clean sponge or cloth and mild detergent to clean the refrigerator. Do not use steel wool or any types of abrasive cleaners. For stainless steel exteriors, use commercial stainless-steel cleaner and ensure to follow the manufacturer's instructions.
4. Reinsert all shelf and bins
Once everything is clean and dried, carefully reinsert all shelves and bins back into place in the refrigerator in the reverse order of which they were removed.
