If the drawer on your LG SideKick washing machine does not open it may be due to a foreign object being stuck on the drawer slides, a power failure during a wash cycle or for another reason that can be resolved by following the troubleshooting steps below.

Does the drawer only open halfway?
If you can open the drawer only halfway, remove any foreign objects caught in the rails on the sides of the drawer.
(Using the product repeatedly with the drawer opened only halfway may cause a product malfunction.)
Drawer status
You can't open the door.
Disconnect and reconnect the power cord and turn on the SideKick using the integrated control of the front load washing machine or with the remote control.
If the drawer still cannot be opened after turning it on, the drawer may blocked from opening for safety when you are using a high temperature cycle.
You can't you open the drawer and you hear a rattling noise.
1. Since it takes time for the door lock to be locked and unlocked, please wait until it is completely locked and unlocked when pausing or stopping the machine.
If you open the drawer while the door lock is locking or unlocking, the drawer may become caught in the raised lock and the drawer may not open.
2. If the drawer cannot be opened, turn the machine on and off again using the integrated control of the front load washing machine or with the remote control while pushing the washing machine drawer.
If the door lock is caught on the raised spot, you can easily open it by turning the machine on while pushing the drawer, in order to unlock it.
3. If you release the handle, but the drawer still cannot be opened, turn the machine on and off again using the integrated control of the front load washing machine or with the remote control while pushing the washing machine drawer one more time.
