Is the Styler not responsive when you operate its control panel? Does only the [Power] button work?
Causes and Symptoms
- Touch recognition fails.
- [Control Lock] feature is enabled.
The buttons on the Styler recognize touch through the detection of static electricity in your hand.
So, if your hand is wet or if you wear a glove, your touch might not be recognized.
Additionally, the presence of grime or other foreign substances on the control panel may cause touch recognition to fail.
If all buttons fail to work except for the [Power] button, then it might be that the [Control Lock] feature is enabled.
This is a safeguard to prevent accidental operation by children, thus preventing accidents and malfunctions. If this feature is enabled, the display will read [CL].
Try this
Is the touch panel failing to respond due to dirt on the panel or moisture on your hands?
➔ Wipe the control panel clean and operate the buttons dry, bare hands.
The Styler door, where the control panel is located, is made of reinforced glass.
Use a spectacle cleaner or a wet cloth to remove foreign substances from the panel, followed by a dry cloth to remove moisture.
Exercise caution to prevent any scratches or damage to the glass.
Touch the buttons with moisture-free, bare hands and make sure to press the center of the button, not the edge.
Do all the buttons not operate besides the power button?
➔ If the display reads [CL] or if a lock symbol appears on the panel, it means that [Control Lock] is enabled.
