Just like any other household appliance, cleaning your washer will ensure it operates to maximum efficiency and help extend its lifespan.
Try This
-
After the Wash Cycle is Complete
Leaving the washer door opened and wiping away visible water from the drum, gasket, and door glass can help reduce odor buildup.
1Remove laundry immediately.
2Wipe off water from inside the tub, door gasket, and inside the door glass with a dry towel.
3Leave the lid open completely and allow the tub to dry naturally.
-
Cleaning the Washer Exterior
Cleaning the exterior of your washer can preserve the finish and appearance of the unit.
1 Wipe off stains and spills with a soft cloth dampened with a small amount of mild cleaner.
-
Cleaning the Detergent Dispenser
Periodically cleaning the detergent dispenser can ensure proper flow of detergent and additives increasing wash performance.
1Remove the detergent dispenser by pulling it forward while lifting it.
2Clean the detergent dispenser, and the opening into which the detergent dispenser is inserted, using a soft brush or a toothbrush. Then, reinsert the detergent dispenser.
-
Run a Tub Clean cycle
Over time, residue may build up in the tub, leaving a film of grime on the surface of the drum and eventually leading to mildew or a musty odor. Run the Tub Clean cycle monthly to remove residue and prevent odor.
