LG TV - How to Connect an UHD Receiver

To connect a UHD receiver to your LG TV, connect the included HDMI cable to the HDMI output port of the UHD receiver, and connect the other end of the cable to the HDMI Input 1 port on your TV.

Installing a UHD receiver

1. Before installing the UHD receiver, check the provided accessories first.

2. Connect the power plug to the back of the UHD receiver, check the location of the port, and connect the existing antenna or cable to the antenna/cable input port of the receiver.

3. To watch UHD channels, connect the UHD reception antenna to the antenna input port of the receiver.
Connect the included HDMI cable to the HDMI output port of the UHD receiver, and connect the other end of the cable to the HDMI Input 1 port on your TV.
If there is another device connected to the HDMI Input 1 port on your TV, you should connect that device to a different HDMI input port.

4. Turn on the power of the UHD receiver and the TV, and switch the input of the TV to HDMI 1 using the TV remote.

5. Change the video mode of the TV to the game mode.
Adjust the backlight, contrast, and brightness settings according to your preference.
Set both the [Contrast] and [Color] in Advanced Settings to High and set the screen size to the original aspect ratio in the Picture menu of the TV.

6. Turn on Deep Color for the HDMI 1 port in the Picture menu of the TV.
The TV setup for using the UHD receiver is now complete.

7. Use the remote control of the UHD receiver to proceed with the initial setup according to the instructions provided.

Setting the terrestrial UHD receiver for the first time
① After pressing the [OK Wheel] button on the remote control, set the language and locale, and select the Internet connection method.
② Select a broadcast signal to receive from the Watch TV menu.
③ After setting the desired channel service, press the [Start] button to start searching for channels.
If you want to set UHD channels, select the UHD TV Channel Search checkbox.
You don’t have to select it if you want to go with the basic HD channels.

Connecting external devices to the UHD receiver

1. Connect your set-top box, Blu-ray player, etc., to the UHD receiver with an HDMI cable.

2. After connecting them with an HDMI cable, select [All Inputs] and then [External Input List].
After selecting the input to which the desired device is connected, select the [Integrated Remote Control Settings] button.

3. Select a device to connect to the UHD receiver.
Select the port of the UHD receiver to connect the device to.
Select the [Simple Link] and [Auto Power] options displayed on the device connection screen as needed, and then press the Next button.

4. Press the [Next] button in the Integrated Remote Control menu.
Select the manufacturer of the device, and press the [Next] button.
Press any on-screen button to check if the device operates normally.
If it does not work normally, try changing to a different remote control to test it, and then press the [Next] button.

5. The integrated remote control setup is complete.
Press the [Finish] button on the screen to end the setup process.
