How to Factory Reset Your LG TV.

Press the Settings button on your remote control.

Select the All Settings option, then General Settings.

Within General Settings select System, and then choose the Reset to Initial Settings option.

Be sure to read all the information as you will not be able to revert back.

Confirming the reset will delete all account settings installed apps and passwords.

Your TV will then automatically restart to its default settings.

1Turn on the TV and press the setting button on your LG TV remote.

2Select [Gear Icon] to open the Settings menu.

3Select [General], then select [System] settings.

4Select [Reset to Initial Settings].

If a password is required and no password has been set, the default should password should be “0000”.

5Once you select [Reset to Initial Settings], select the reset option that is desired.

  • [Reset All] will reset all settings including network settings.
  • [Reset All except network settings] will reset all settings except for wireless and wired network configurations.

6Your TV will restart and the initial setup screen will appear. Follow the on-screen instructions and use the magic remote control to complete the initial setup.

  • [WebOS 6.0 released 2021] - Press the setting button on the TV remote and select [All Settings][General][System][Reset to Initial Settings].
  • [WebOS 5.0 released 2020] - Press the setting button on the TV remote and select [All Settings][Support][Reset to Initial Settings].
  • [WebOS 4.5 released 2019 or before] - Press the setting button on the TV remote and select [All Settings][General][Reset to Initial Settings].
