LG TV - How to Perform a Sound Test

Performing a sound test can be used to confirm if audio with the internal TV speakers are caused or if the problem is related poor signal strength.

Try This

WebOS 24 / WebOS 23

1Turn on the TV and press the setting button button on your LG TV remote.

2Select [Gear Icon] to open the Settings menu.

3Select [Support].

4Then select [Sound Self-Diagnosis].

5The TV will automatically switch to the internal TV speakers and set the volume to 20.

6Once the sound test is complete, the volume is restored to its previous level.

How to Perform a Sound Test:

  • [2022 WebOS 22]Press the settings button button on the TV remote and select [All Settings] → [Support] → [OLED Care] → [Device Self-Care] → [Sound Self-Diagnosis].
  • [2021 WebOS 6.0] Press the settings button button on the TV remote and select [All Settings] → [Support] → [OLED Care] → [Device Self-Care] → [Sound Self-Diagnosis].
  • [2020 WebOS 5.0]Press the settings button button on the TV remote and select [All Settings] → [Support] → [Additional Settings] → [Sound Test].
  • [2019 Web Os 4.5 or Older]Press the settings button button on the TV remote and select [All Settings] → [Sound] → [Sound Test].
