LG TV - Viewing Content on a USB Device

At a Glance

To ensure proper functioning, format the USB storage device into either the FAT32 or NTFS file system supported by Windows.

If you connect a USB storage device to the TV, you can easily enjoy the content of the USB storage device through your TV.
Connect the USB storage device to the [USB Input] port on the back of the TV and set the input mode to USB Storage Device.

Try This

Connect the USB storage device to the TV.

➔ Connect the USB storage device to the [USB input] port on the back of the TV.

Use a USB memory of 32GB or less, or an external storage device of 2TB or less.
Storage devices with too much capacity may not work smoothly.

Note
To ensure proper functioning, format the USB storage device into either the FAT32 or NTFS file system supported by Windows.
In the case of an external hard disk, use one with a rated voltage of 5V and a rated current of 500mA or less.
Otherwise, the USB storage device may not work properly, or the operation may not be smooth.

How to set input mode

➔ Press the [External Input] button on the TV remote control and select [USB Flash Drive] on the TV screen.

➔ Alternatively, press the [Home] button on the TV remote control and select [Media Player] from the.

1. Select the USB storage device that contains the file you want to play.

2. You can select the file types you want to display.

3. You can browse and play files on the USB storage device.

※ Note that supported file extensions and codecs may vary depending on the model, so please refer to the user manual.


Wait! Here are more tips
To disconnect a USB storage device, select the device to be disconnected from the external input list on the TV and press the [Eject] button.
Do not remove the USB storage device without using [Eject], as this may cause errors on the USB storage device.

How to eject a USB device from products released in 2019 and onwards (webOS 4.5 or later)

1. Press the External Input button on the remote control and select [Home Dashboard].

2. Select USB [USB Flash Drive].

3. Select [Eject] to safely remove the USB device.
