Second Screen is a small display above the main display of your LG V10. When the main display is off the Second Screen displays the date, time and phone status. When the main display is on it shows favorite apps, contacts, calendar items and music. In the browser tabs will be shown in the second screen. In the video app, zoom can be controlled in the second screen. When receiving a notification, it will be displayed in the second screen.
Note: Some Settings, Menus, or Icons may differ from that of your LG V10 depending on your software version and wireless service provider.
When the main display is on it shows favorite apps, contacts, calendar items and music. In the browser, tabs will be shown in the second screen. In the video app, zoom can be controlled in the second screen. New notifications will display in the second screen minimizing main-screen interference.
Available Screens:

When the main display is off see the time, date and phone status or signature. Swipe to the left to see Quick Tools (In Quick Tools; Wi-Fi, Sound/Vibration, Flashlight, and Camera). Quick tool options cannot be changed.

From the home screen, tap App > Settings > Display tab (if applicable) > Second screen

Tap Show when main screen on.

Tap App shortcut gear icon

Select up to 5 app(s) for shortcuts.
To change the app shortcut option:
- Tap the gear icon in the corner of the respective app you want to change and select the new app from the list.
To change the order:
- Press and hold an app shortcut and moved to desired location and release.
To delete an app shortcut:
- Tap the Wastebasket icon, then tap the red X icon in the corner of the respective app shortcut you want to delete.

From the home screen, tap App > Settings > Display tab (if applicable) > Second screen

Tap to toggle ON/OFF next to option to show the second screen when the main screen is on or off.
Enable Quick Contacts:

From the home screen, tap App > Settings > Display tab (if applicable) > Second screen

Tap Show when main screen on and place a checkmark next to Quick Contacts.

Tap the gear icon to edit contact options.
How to set from second screen:

Tap the second screen's + icon to set Quick Phonebook, and while the phonebook is set in the second screen, you can also long press the phonebook to move to the setting screen.
To use Quick Contacts:

With the main display on, tap a contact icon.

Select call or message to easily make call or send message with the corresponding contact.

Tap the contact icon or name to return to Quick Contact.

From the home screen, tap App > Settings > Display tab (if applicable) > Second screen

From the second screen, long press signature or Quick contacts to open the setting options.

Tap Show when main screen on or Show when main screen is off to edit the options that display on the second screen.
While playing music back from the native Music app or various other music applications like Play Music, a controller will display on the second screen that allows you to Play, Pause, or Skip tracks.
How to enable:

From the home screen, tap App > Settings > Display tab (if applicable) > Second screen

Tap Show when main screen on and place a checkmark next to Music Player.
How to use:

Open the music application you would like to use.

The music player controller will now be available on the second screen. Press Play, Pause, or Skip buttons to control the music playback.
The second screen recent apps list contains the 5 most recently used applications as show on the main recent apps screen.
You can easily change the app shortcuts on the second screen, tap and hold the app you want to move and drag it to the second screen. If you already have 5 apps on the second screen you will need to drag and remove one in order to add the new app.
Note: Capture+ cannot move to home screen. To change, tap App > Settings > Display tab (if applicable) > Second screen > Show when main screen on > App shortcuts.
Change for main screen on:

From the home screen, tap App > Settings > Display tab (if applicable) > Second screen

Tap Show when main screen on.

Tap the gear icon next to Signature. Enter your signature and select from the list of fonts.
Change for main screen off:

From the home screen, tap App > Settings > Display tab (if applicable) > Second screen.

Tap Show when main screen off.

Tap the gear icon next to Signature. Enter your signature and select from the list of fonts.
With second screen enabled you can accept or reject incoming calls even end calls that are active. If using the Quick Cover case, incoming calls are displayed on the second screen when case is closed.

From the home screen, tap Apps > Settings > Networks tab (if applicable) > Call > Show voice calls while in an app.

Select Second Screen.
Note: If second screen is not enabled or if you choose other option then incoming calls will not display on the second screen.
When a new message is received, the notification is displayed on the second screen. Tap the notification from the second screen to open the app associated with it.
Note: If you don't want to receive message notification through the second screen, you can change the notice display method to Pop-up or Notification panel only in Messaging app setting > Notification settings.
