LG Washer – Crackling and Clicking Noises at the Start of a Cycle

At a Glance

At the start of a wash cycle, you may hear clicking and crackling sounds, these are normal and occur during the washer door locking or the beginning of load sensing.

Door Locking Sounds
- lock
- tun off & un lock
Ticking or crackling sounds heard when this device is locked and unlocked are normal operation.
Motor Operation Sounds
- spin
When switching from the wash to spinning for spin cycle, the motor gear will move from left to right while setting the motor gear. This is normal operation.
