LG Washer - My Washing Machine Makes a Rattling Noise and the Tub Does Not Spin

If clothing buttons or a zippers, or other items like a coin, key, jewelry, etc. hit the tub, a rattling noise will occur. If any of these items get caught in the tub it may prevent the tub from spinning and lead to an [LE1] error. Make sure that pockets in the clothes are empty so no items fall out.

Is a rattling noise heard during washing?

➔ Take your laundry out of the tub and check if there are buttons, coins, keys, or other items within the laundry.

If your laundry has buttons or zippers, they may make a noise when hitting the tub.
Before you start washing, make sure that all pockets in your clothes are empty, with zippers and buttons, fastened.

Do you notice that your tub does not spin or see an [LE1] error code?

➔ Take all of your laundry out of the machine and check if a coin or a foreign object is caught in the tub.

Take your laundry out and remove any coins or other items found in the wash plate using a suitable tool if required.
