Overview
- This solution addresses the issue where the door does not open after the laundry cycle is completed when using remote control (Remote Start).
- As shown in the image below, if you enable the "Keep remote start ON" option in the ThinQ App, the door will remain locked and the power will stay on.
- Since the washer remains powered on, continuous remote control is possible.
(For example, you can add a second rinse and spin dry cycle.) - If you disable the "Keep remote start ON" option in the ThinQ-App, the power will automatically turn off and the door will open when washing is finished.
At this point, remote control is no longer possible.
Symptom
- The door does not open after using remote control.

- If the door remains locked after washing has finished, check whether the "Keep Remote Start ON" function is enabled.
- If the option is enabled, the door cannot be opened.
- The door remains locked to allow for additional washing or operation of the unit.
- If you disable the "Keep remote start ON" option in the ThinQ App, the washer will automatically turn off and the door will open when washing is finished.
From this point, remote control is no longer possible.

How to enable/disable Remote Start

- "Keep Remote Start ON" function can be turned on / off.
(When the washer is connected to ThinQ for the first time, the default setting is for Remote Start to be turned off.) - When the “Keep Remote Start ON” option is enabled, a pop-up message regarding the door lock is displayed.
To unlock the door automatically after washing is complete, follow one of the methods below.
- Press the Power button in the ThinQ app.
The door will be unlocked shortly after the washer is turned off.
- Press the Power button on the washer.
The door will be unlocked shortly after the product is turned off.
To unlock the door automatically after washing is complete, follow one of the methods below.
- Disable the remote control function in the ThinQ app.
After the washing is complete, the door is automatically unlocked without any additional operation.
(Since the door is unlocked, additional washing cannot be done remotely.)
