An alert and animation will appear on your SideKick™ display when the product is turned on for the first time after a new firmware update becomes available for your washer.
What it Means
- When a firmware update is available, the SideKick™ emits an alarm sound and the screen rotates clockwise.
→ A washing machine upgrade alert is sent as a message to the LG ThinQ app.
Try this
When a new firmware update becomes available, an alarm sounds and an animation appears up to 3 times based on the cycle completion.
➔ If an additional program update becomes available before the alarm sounds 3 times, another alarm will sound again 3 times.
The alarm will be cancelled when a button is pressed, regardless of the button type.
➔ If no button is pressed, the screen will return to the original screen after 4 seconds.

The firmware update is not an error, but intended to update the washer.
