Ensure the Shipping Bolts are Removed
Open the door and try to shake the drum. If there is no wobble, remove the shipping bolts at the rear of the washer.
-
Adjust the size of the load.
For optimal performance, the tub should be about 2/3 of its capacity, as the laundry can move freely within the tub.
-
Rearrange laundry in the drum.
- Press the [Pause] button on the washer.
- If the laundry is not evenly spread and stuck to one side in the tub, this can create a pounding or rattling noise during the spin cycle.
- Laundry items such as rugs, blankets, mats, and waterproof fabrics, can cause the tub to become lopsided during the spins and prolong the spin time.
-
Check the drum for foreign objects stuck in the tub.
- Remove any clothing that is inside the drum.
- With the clothing removed, rotate the drum by hand to see if the noise continues. If the noise continues, the washer will require repair service.
