No Power
No power issues are typically caused by a tripped circuit breaker, a faulty electrical outlet, a power outage in the home, or in rare cases a unit that requires a repair.
Steps to follow:

Check the light.
Open the dryer door and locate the drum light inside the unit. If the light is ON but the unit will not power ON, the unit will require a repair service. Please visit our Request a Repair page.
If the light is OFF, then proceed to the next step below.

Check power connection.
For electric dyers, check the power cord connection at the back of the unit and the power connection at the terminal block. Ensure that power is getting to the unit efficiently.

Circuit Breaker.
Turn OFF the circuit breaker, wait for 5 seconds, then turn the breaker back ON.
Check the drum light again. Is it ON now?

Restart the unit.
Try to power and start the unit, if the unit works as expected, then the issue is resolved. Otherwise, the unit will require a repair service. Please visit our Request a Repair page.

Perform hard reset.

Unplug the dryer.

While the dryer is unplugged, PRESS and HOLD the POWER/START button for 5 seconds, then hold down the PLAY/PAUSE button for 5 seconds.
Plug the unit back in and check if the light and the unit come back ON. If the unit does not power ON, it will require a repair service. Please visit our Request a Repair page.
NOTE: Some power outlets are sometimes controlled by light switches on the wall. Ensure to turn the light switch ON.

Unit powers ON, but won't run.
The dryer has power but is not responding when selecting cycles or pressing the START button
Steps to follow:

Check CHILD LOCK.
If the safety CHILD LOCK is ON, the display will not respond.
CHILD LOCK on most models can be disabled by pressing and holding the CHILD LOCK button for 3 seconds.
After disengaging the child lock, run a cycle and see if there are any additional issues.

Check power connection.
For electric dyers, check the power cord connection at the back of the unit and the power connection at the terminal block. Ensure that power is getting to the unit efficiently.

Check if drum turns.
Press START button and closely watch if the drum in the unit TURNS.

Check for heating.
Let the unit run for 30 seconds, then open the door and feel inside for heat. If the drum is WARM, then the unit is working properly. You can check our Not Heating, Not Drying or Long Time Drying to optimize the performance of the unit.

Perform hard reset.
When you pressed START, IF the processing window FLASHES and you see the TIME COUNTDOWN on the display screen, then the unit may require a repair service. Otherwise, perform the hard reset.
How to perform a hard reset.

Turn off the unit circuit breaker.

Unplug the dryer.

While the dryer is unplugged and the circuit breaker is OFF, PRESS and HOLD the POWER/START button for 5 seconds, then hold down the PLAY/PAUSE button for 5 seconds.

Turns OFF abnormally.
If the unit shuts off prior to the completion of the drying cycle.
Steps to follow:

Check if unit restarts after shutdown.
If the unit powers back ON after abnormal shutdown, the issue can be attributed to three factors.

INTERRUPTED POWER:
The cycle may have shut off due to an interruption of the power supply.

SMALL LOADS:
Small loads may also cause the cycle to end abruptly because the clothes will not brush against the sensors at the front of the drum. When the unit is unable able to sense the load, the cycle time will abruptly drop down to 15-20 minutes, then 6 minutes, then shut off. It may be better to add a few items to a small load or just select a SPEED DRY or TIMED DRY cycle.

SENSOR:
Residue on the sensors will prevent the unit from properly detecting the load and will cause the cycle to end early.
If the unit does NOT have power back ON after abnormal shut down, perform a hard reset.
