How to Access Features and Settings
From the ThinQ main page tap the washer card.
Once the card loads, tap the more button in the upper right hand corner to access the features and settings for your washer.

Remote Start
With your ThinQ connected washer you have the option to start a cycle remotely.
To run a remote start cycle:

Put the laundry in the drum and add detergent to the detergent dispenser drawer.
NOTE: Add in fabric softener or bleach now if you’ll be using them.
Press the Power button on the washer.
Press and hold the Remote Start button for 3 seconds to enable to the remote control function.

Start a cycle from the LG ThinQ application on your smart phone.
NOTE: Once this function is enabled, you can only start a cycle from the LG ThinQ smartphone application. If the cycle is not started, the appliance will wait to start the cycle until it is turned off remotely from the application or this function is disabled.
NOTE: If the door has been opened, you cannot start a cycle remotely.
To disable remote start manually press and hold the remote start button for 3 seconds.

Download Cycle
Along with the cycles that come standard with your machine using LG ThinQ will allow you to download a custom cycle that is suited to various types of soil or fabric type. From Baby Clothes to Swimwear, you’ll be able to find a cycle that fits your needs.
To add a download cycle:
While the machine is in standby mode
Tap the more button in the upper right hand corner to access the features and settings for your washer.
Select Download Cycle
Find the cycle you want to use and tap it.
Select Download to Washer.
To run a download cycle:
Power the unit on
Select download cycle on the control panel.
Press Start.
NOTE: Only one download cycle can be stored at a time. If you choose an alternate cycle to download the existing one will be replaced.

Manage Favorites
With all the cycles available to choose from you may end up with a favorites list of your own. You can add up to 6 cycles to your favorites list to easily select from the cycles you use the most. On your next load you’ll see your favorites listed at the top of the cycle selection area.
Tap the more button in the upper right hand corner to access the features and settings for your washer.
Choose manage favorites.
Tap the + icon next to your favorite cycles.
When your machine is in standby you can easily select from your favorites from the cycle list.

Tub Clean Coach
You can utilize the tub clean coach to stay ahead of regular maintenance on your washer. LG recommends a tub clean every 30 cycles or at least once per month to keep your washer clean and fresh and performing at its best.
The tub clean coach will show you how many cycles have been run since your last tub clean and will allow you to start a tub clean all from within your LG ThinQ App.
Tap the more button in the upper right hand corner to access the features and settings for your washer.
Choose tub clean coach.
Follow the on-screen instructions to run a Tub Clean if one is needed.

Amazon Smart Reorders
Simply link your Amazon account in the LG ThinQ app and your LG appliance signals to Amazon when supplies are running low so users never run out of essentials.
Tap the more button in the upper right hand corner to access the features and settings for your washer.
Tap amazon smart reorders.
Select your product type.
You can select what happens when your supplies are low.
Set current levels and supplies.
And view consumption history.

Energy Monitoring
You can use this feature to keep an eye on how much energy your washer has consumed as well as the number of cycles you have been running.

Cycles Used
See a log of the cycles you’ve used in the past. You can tap on one of the logged cycles to learn more detail about the setting used at the time.

Smart Diagnosis
Here you can perform a diagnosis of your machine right from within the ThinQ app. This can be useful to help troubleshoot some issues you might have with your smart appliance. Depending on the product you may be able to perform Wi-Fi diagnosis or an audible diagnosis. Press get started and follow the instructions that appear in the app.

Settings
Here you can control general settings of your connected washer:

Edit Nickname: useful if you have two appliances. You can give each one a custom nickname to easily distinguish between them.
Assign a location (room): you can assign an appliance to a specific room in your home. This can also be done by choosing manage rooms in the app settings.
Change Network: use this setting to connect to a different network.
View software version: view the current installed software of your appliance
Delete the product from the app: choose this option to remove the product from ThinQ
