Dual Controller / PBP function [monitor]

Dual Controller is an application software that lets users control multiple Windows and Mac systems using the shared keyboard and mouse attached to one computer. It is designed for people who often use more than one system which are placed near each other. With Dual Controller Software, users can share a single keyboard/mouse across a set of systems (Windows/MAC).

PBP feature stands for Picture-by-Picture. This built-in feature allows to simultaneously show content from two computers on one UltraWide Monitor screen.

How to Download Dual Controller

1. Head on to LG Electronics support website’s Software & Firmware section.
2. On the search bar enter your model number and select appropriate result.
   
   
   
3. Scroll down the resulting product page and download the installer.
   
   
   

How to Use PBP Function

1. Use the joystick button and enter the menu and then move the joystick to move to PBP.
   
   
   
2. Select the PBP and toggle it On.
   
   
   

Change Main PC

1. After clicking the icon at the right bottom of the PC, run the dual controller.
   
   
   
2. To change the execution mode, right click on the tray icon in the task bar and select Main PC, Sub PC
   • Dual Controller requires that the main PC and the sub PC are both connected to the same network.
   • One main PC among PCs connected to the same network can search for max 5 sub PCs.
   

Controlling the sub PC

1. Before selecting the Dual Controller option window, activate the PBP function for the monitor.
   
   
   • The PBP function is used to display the screens for two inputs at the same time on its own.
2. After pressing the joystick button at the bottom of the monitor, enter the menu and then move the joystick to move to PBP and activate PBP by setting it to [On].
   • Before you can use the PBP function, one of the two inputs must be connected via HDMI.
   
3. Select the option menu on the Dual Controller screen. You can enable auto execution of the dual controller function when the PC is booted, and also change the locations of main/sub PC.
4. You can set special keys to enable use of the control device while moving quickly between the main and sub PC. You can set a key used to transmit files/text to the background of your PC.
   • The max size of transmitted file is 2GB.
