If your LG washing machine has powered off in mid-cycle, we have four troubleshooting steps for you to check before you call for service.

Try This

  1. Was the washer paused during the wash cycle?

    Yes No
  2. The PAUSE function halts operation during the wash cycle. If the cycle is not resumed within approximately 4 minutes, the machine will automatically turn off.

If this is the case, you only need to restart the cycle. Power on the washer again and restart the cycle, without detergent.

If problems continue, service will be required for a proper diagnosis. Please visit our Request a Repair page for further assistance.

  3. Press the power button to turn on the washer. Does an error code appear in the display?

    Yes No
  4. Please visit our LG Washer - Error Code List article for further assistance.

  5. Did the unit power off during the spin cycle?

    Yes No
  6. Clothing can shift during washing. If more weight settles on one side, the machine may stop spinning to prevent damage. Check that the clothing is evenly distributed in the washer and try again.

A Spin Only cycle can be performed to prevent restarting the whole cycle.
